Cromwell Property Group, the real estate investor and manager, announces the appointment of Lodewijk Zweers to the newly created role of Head of Capital and Operations, Europe
In this role, Lodewijk is responsible for leading the strategic direction of Cromwell’s future in European capital raising and investor relations activity across Europe, as well as taking on the day-to-day management of European operations including HR, Marketing, Investor Relations, Research, IT and Sustainability.
Having spent more than 20 years working at board level and as founder of a variety of real estate fund management, private equity, and consultancy businesses, Lodewijk has a strong track record in strategy, business development and capital management. Prior to becoming a strategic consultant, he held several senior private equity appointments including Managing Director European Capital Markets at Granite Investment Group and CEO of ZOM Holland, a group whose major shareholders included ABN Amro Bouwfonds Nederlands Gemeenten and the Rabobank Vastgoed Group. While at ZOM Holland, he launched several new investment funds, created new joint ventures with overseas partners and successfully syndicated a number of real estate funds with institutional and high net worth individuals.
He also worked with Triodos Bank to create the first publicly listed sustainable real estate fund, which owned TNT’s CO2-emission-free head quarter building in Hoofddorp.
Lodewijk holds a degree in law from the University of Leiden and a Master of Science in real estate from the University of Amsterdam.
